Senior citizens should be respected: Minister KC

Minister for Urban Development Arjun Narshing KC has said the government is committed to ensure the social justice to the senior citizens.  

Speaking a programme organized by the Senior Citizens Fund on the occasion of 26th International Senior Citizens Day today Minister KC opined for utilizing the skills and experience of senior citizens for social development and prosperity. He further said the government is committed to ensure such rights for the dignified life of the senior citizens.

Nepali Congress leader and former Prime Minister Prakash Man Singh has said the party leadership should be serious for holding local bodies' election and restructuring the local units.

At a festive greetings exchange programme organized by the Nepali Congress Kathmandu District Committee today, leader Singh said though NC is the largest party, its role in the government remained weaker which caused the pessimism among the cadres.

In a separate note, Leader Singh expressed dissatisfaction over dillydally in giving full shape to the office bearers and central working committee of the party.
