Representatives from Bhutan and Myanmar are already in Kathmandu to take part in the International Conference on Gender Equity and Social Justice scheduled to kick off from upcoming Thursday. The Legislature-Parliament's Social Justice and Human Rights Committee is holding the Conference in the capital on September 22-23.
Bhutan's Minister for Works and Human Settlement Lyonpo Dorji Choden has already arrived in the capital, leading a 15-member delegation of parliamentarians to take part in the Conference, according to Committee President Sushil Kumar Shrestha.
Likewise, a 10-member delegation comprising members of the Myanmar's House of Representatives has already landed here in course of participating in the two-day international event. A delegation from Denmark is expected to arrive by this evening.
Individuals fighting for gender equity and social justice and media persons will also be attending the Conference aimed at providing a platform to share experiences and achievements in the sector of gender and social justice among the participant countries.
