Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs Bimalendra Nidhi has called on Indian former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in the Indian capital of New Delhi.
During today's meeting, the two held discussions on the issues of mutual interest as well as the latest political developments of Nepal, according to Biswas Bikram, personal aide of DPM Nidhi.
Nidhi is scheduled to call on Bharatiya Janata party (BJP) Chairperson Amit Shah today itself. Earlier, the DPM held separate meetings with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi as well as India's President Pranab Mukherjee, Minister for External Affairs Sushma Swaraj and Minister for Home Affairs Rajnath Singh.
During the meetings, India's high-ranking officials lauded the role of the government of Nepal in considering amendment in the new constitution and addressing the genuine demands put forth by some disgruntled Madhesh-centric political parties, shared DPM Nidhi's personal aide Bikram.
