The diplomatic relations established between Nepal and the Russian Federation has entered the 60th years, the diamond jubilee, from today.
High government officials of both countries have expressed commitment for further strengthening the existing mutual relations on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.
Nepal and the Russian Federation established diplomatic relations on 20 July 1956.
On the occasion, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Kamal Thapa, and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Sergei Lavrov, have exchanged messages of congratulations today.
The relation between the two countries, marked as they are by goodwill, friendship and mutual cooperation, have always remained close and cordial throughout these years, said DPM Thapa.
