Agitating Terai Madhesh parties have boycotted today's meeting of Legislature-Parliament.

Lawmaker Laxmi Kumari Chaudhary has said that the government was not serious towards the demands put forth by ongoing agitation in Tarai-Madhes.

Seeking time from Speaker Onsari Gharti in today's meeting of the Legislature-Parliament, Chaudhary demanded amendment of the new constitution, saying the new constitution has failed to ensure rights to women.

Objecting the government's act of arresting Madhesi people and Tharus charging false case, Chaudhary exited from the meeting saying the Tarai-Madhes parties have boycotted today's meeting.

Meanwhile, in today's zero hour of the parliament, lawmakers expressed heartfelt condolences to the families of those who died in Kabul terrorist attack and drew the attention of the government to make necessary arrangement to send the bodies to their respective homes.

They also suggested the government to take initiative for other facilities including insurance to the deceased's family and also demanded that distribution of cash to quake survivors for house construction be accelerated.
