Minister for Labour and Employment Deepak Bohara has said the government is effortful to curb unfair activities propping up in the overseas employment sector.
Though the government has enforced 'free visa and free ticket' focusing on perspective overseas workers since last week it has not been in practice, Minister said, adding the government however has kept vigilance on such fraudulent manpower agencies.
Inaugurating a workshop organized by Safer Migration Project and Ministry of Labour and Employment in Butwal today, Minister Bohara informed that the online system will be put in place soon so that workers abound to overseas employment can submit their forms along with payment of Rs 10,000 through the system.
The Minister said that the government will grant Rs 1 million each to the family of those killed and Rs 500,000 each to those mutilated during foreign employment. The victims can get the amount from their respective districts, he added.
