Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has inaugurated a three-day seminar on astronomy and space science organized by BP Koirala Memorial Planetarium Observatory and Science Museum Development Board today.
On the occasion, PM Oli spoke of the need for Nepal to create its own position in space mission. PM Oli reiterated that the government is committed to developing and promoting astronomy and space science.
The Prime Minister admitted that he is too excited to visit National Observatory in Nagarkot which offers a scientific observance and study on moon and constellations.
More than 100 science students from higher secondary to masters level are taking part in the seminar that aims to deliberate on the researches and studies carried out in the astronomy and space science sector by the local community as well as the efforts made by the Government of Nepal towards that end.
