Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has claimed that he was elected to the post for the overall development of the country.
While laying a foundation stone of a bridge in Jhapa today, PM Oli stressed on unity among all parties and different sections of the public to join hands for development. He argued that the incumbent government is committed to utilizing the natural resources for development.

The Prime Minister said that the developmental activities would be expedited.
PM Oli said that the developmental projects would be expedited in each village under the campaign - Let Us Build Our Village by Ourselves.
He added that he was committed to the same. The construction work of the bridge is expected to complete by three years.
NC president Deuba accuses govt of being apathetic towards implementing constitution
President of the main opposition Nepali Congress (NC) has accused the incumbent government of being apathetic towards the implementation of the constitution.
Urging to be alert to a conspiracy being hatched in the country against the implementation of the constitution, the former Prime Minister.
He also suggested making preparations to hold the elections to all the local, province and federal bodies within the Nepali month of Mangshir of 2074 BS.
Addressing a program in the capital city today, he said that his party could create an environment of consensus for the implementation of the constitution even while staying in opposition.
Stating that he is in favour of a national consensus government, he however viewed that such government should not be formed only to serve the interests of those joining the government.
On the most contentious issue of Madhes, he said that he himself and his party were taking steps to sort out the issue,
Likewise on the occasion, ruling CPN-UML secretary Pradip Gwayali stressed the need for consensus among major political parties for the implementation of the constitution.
Similarly, leader of the CPN (Maoist Centre) coalition partner of the government Krishna Bahadur Mahara was of the view that transitional period of the country would be ended only through the implementation of the constitution and that civil society would play an important to this effect.
