Minister for Labour and Employment Dipak Bohara has returned home today from attending the high level meeting of the executive body of the International Labour Organisation (ILO) in Geneva in Switzerland.
In the meeting, Nepal, which is marking 50 years of its ILO membership, filed candidacy for a member in the ILO governing body. The elections are scheduled to take place in 2017.
Talking to media persons upon arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport, the minister said that he on behalf of the Government of Nepal put views of Nepal in playing a role to strengthen relations between the government, employers and labourers, in the meeting.
Minister Bohara talked with his counterparts from Mauritius and Denmark on issues relating to foreign employment on the sidelines of the meeting.
