'Silence of the Summit', Chinese mountaineer Wang Jing's second book on mountaineering tourism of Nepal was launched today. Wang has been writing books about adventure tourism, especially mountaineering, in Nepal.
In her second book, Wang, who has scaled Sagarmatha (Mt Everest) three times, has described about the condition of the highest peaks of the seven continents and her climbing experiences.
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli launched the book at a function held at his official residence in Baluwatar.
On the occasion, PM Oli said that Wang's latest book would help take the Nepal-China friendship to a new height besides promoting Nepal's mountaineering tourism at the global level.
Speaking about the longstanding bilateral, cultural and geographical ties between Nepal and China, the Prime Minister expressed the belief that the book would also help cement the bilateral relations.
He expressed the belief that the country's tourism would get success with the enthusiastic climbing of the various mountains including the Sagarmatha this spring season after suffering from obstruction of climbing activities for two years following two big natural disasters.
Chinese ambassador to Nepal Wu Chuntai believed that Wang's book would be useful in further strengthening the China-Nepal relations.
