The Nepal Students Union (NSU), the student wing of the Nepali Congress, has staged demonstrations in the Capital today demanding relocation of the Balaju-based Nepal Gas Company. NSU’s General Secretary Kundan Raj Kafle, a protestor, asked the concerned authorities to take initiatives to move the gas refilling plant elsewhere away from human settlement. Likewise, another agitator Debendra Pathak, chairman of the Nepali Congress ward 16, said as part of their drive, they would start a signature campaign from tomorrow (December 30). Central member of the NSU Sushil Bhatta warned of a series-wise protest if their demand is ignored.
