Ministry of Information and Communications' progress satisfactory

The agencies related to the Ministry of Information and Communications have made satisfactory progress as per the review of the works carried out by these bodies in the first quarter of the current fiscal year. The information has been shared at a meeting of the ministry-level development problems resolution committee today. The progress report presented in the meeting showed that 'satisfactory' progress has been made in the recurrent and capital expenditure and the physical infrastructure sector. he progress towards current expenditure is 84.29 per cent and 29.35 per cent towards capital expenditure in terms of the overall budgetary outlay of the Ministry in the first quarter. The total financial progress in the first quarter is recorded at 80.93 per cent while the total financial progress in terms of the annual budgetary allocation is 27.11 per cent. The Ministry stated that there is comparatively less capital expenditure as most of the agencies had to fulfill various processes for operating big projects.
