Govt decides to forward study process for operation of monorail in capital

The government has decided to forward study process for the operation of monorail in Kathmandu Valley. 


A meeting held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister and Chairman of Investment Board Nepal, Sher Bahadur Deuba at the office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers at Singh Durbar today decided to prepare the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the operation of monorail in the valley. 


The feasibility study report prepared by the National Planning Commission (NPC) has mentioned that out of two railways in Kathmandu Valley for the operation of monorail, one will be operated by the Department of Railways and another by the Investment Board.
