The Supreme has given a verdict that there is no need to issue a stay order on the writ demanding rights to vote to the employees deployed in elections.

A joint bench comprising of Dipak Raj Joshi and Dambar Bahadur Shahi ruled that the Election Commission can consider whether employees deployed in elections have the right to vote without crossing the boundary of the constitution.

With this verdict of the SC, around half a million employees assigned in elections will be deprived of casting vote in the proportional system of elections.
