NC Meeting & Kaski Program

Nepali Congress held yesterday a meeting of its parliamentary committee to ascertain the candidates for round two of the upcoming elections. At the meeting held at PM's official residence Baluwatar, Nepali Congress leaders discussed the final list of the candidates for the central and provincial elections. Meanwhile, Senior leaders of ruling Nepali Congress said that the recently forged alliance of leftist parties is against the rule of law, democracy, Nepali Congress, and even the country. Speaking at a programme organized by the Nepali Congress Kaski district committee yesterday, NC leaders argued that the alliance has been formed to impose communist dictatorship in the country. Prime Minister and NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba addressing the programme, urged all democratic forces for unity to overcome challenges facing democracy. PM Deuba added that the upcoming elections are being looked as a battle between two ideologies, one protecting democracy and development while the other advocating totalitarianism. Speaking in the programme, NC senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel reiterated PM Deuba's statement saying that the leftist alliance is against the NC, country and the democracy. NC general secretary Dr Shashanka Koirala said that leftist force will be left without agenda if nation achieves prosperity.
