CPN (Maoist Centre) has decided not to drop its support to the Deuba-led government and not to recall its ministers.

A meeting of the party's secretariat held at the residence of party Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' concluded that the incumbent government was constituted to hold the elections and implement the constitution, and the party should not deviate from the twin responsibilities.

After the meeting, Maoist Centre's spokesperson Pampha Bhusal said that party cannot withdraw itself from shouldering the national responsibility.

The meeting also concluded that the appointment of deputy prime minister, ministers and state ministers by the Prime Minister just ahead of elections was violation of election code of conduct.
