Ruling parties-RJPN talks positive

Talks held today between the ruling parties and Rastriya Janata Party Nepal (RJPN) has ended positively.


 Leaders of major ruling partners--Nepali Congress and CPN (Maoist Centre) and the RJPN-- gathered at the Prime Minister's official residence, Baluwatar to hold a meeting which ended in a positive note, according to NC leader Bimalendra Nidhi. 


Talks went smoothly and an agreement has been reached to go with the process for endorsing the constitution amendment proposal through vote.  Such process will, as per the today's discussion, probably start before the Prime Minister's India visit, he added.     

Today's meeting turned decisive, the government has been almost agreed to address demands for declaring those killed during the Madhes movement martyrs, withdrawing cases filed against party cadres, providing compensation to the injured and increasing the number of local-levels and there has been also an agreement to move ahead the constitution amendment proposal, the most important issues in the Madhes demands," RJP leader Sharat Singh Bhandari briefed media after the meeting.
